Submission of Student Petitions

Before submitting a petition for a retroactive drop, late drop, registration, or withdrawal, students should consult with appropriate offices.

Students should retain a copy of their petition(s) and supporting documents. Once submitted, the petition and supporting documents become a part of a student’s educational record.

Students should not send petitions or supporting materials directly to the Faculty Senate office. An authorized petition submitter from the student’s academic unit will assist students with the preparation of the petition, review the petition, make a recommendation to the Senate committee, and then submit the petition to the Vice Chair, Senate Committee on Education, 101 Kern Graduate Building, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA 16802.
